View MPP Files
You can view
the MPP files using absolute path like:
http://localhost/HPWeb/Views.aspx?mppfile=http://server/files/sample.mpp
The server
where the mpp file is situated may be either:
·
The same
computer on which HPV Web is installed
·
A computer in
the same network
·
An Internet
Server
On the same
computer
- You may
either place the mpp files inside the
\InstallationFolder\Files\Mpp\ folder, creating any folder
structure you want, inside that folder ( i.e.
\InstallationFolder\Files\Mpp\Path1\...\PathN\sample.mpp or
\InstallationFolder\Files\Mpp\ sample.mpp ) then simply access the
link using relative path ( i.e http://localhost/HPWeb/Views.aspx?mppfile=Path1/.../PathN/sample.mpp
or http://localhost/HPWeb/Views.aspx?mppfile=sample.mpp
)
- You may
also place anywhere on the local computer ( i.e. C:\MyMPPFiles\sample.mpp
), then simply create a Virtual Folder to that path in the current
Internet Server ( i.e. MyMPPFiles ), then you may access your MPP Files by
simply giving the full link to the file as a parameter ( i.e. http://localhost/HPVWeb/Views.aspx?mppfile=http://localhost/MyMPPFiles/sample.mpp
)
On a computer
in the same network
- You may
also place your mpp files anywhere on your local network ( i.e.
\\OtherComputer\C:\MyMPPFiles\sample.mpp ), then simply create a Map Drive
on the computer to that folder on the computer where HPVWeb is installed,
then simply follow the steps like the above to create a Virtual Folder to
that path in the current Internet Server
- You may
also set the network computer with the IIS to publish the MPP Files, and
then simply call http://localhost/HPVWeb/Views.aspx?mppfile=http://OtherComputer/MyMPPFiles/sample.mpp
to view the file.
On an Internet
Server
- You may
also place your mpp files anywhere on a computer that has internet access
and IIS installed. You must create a Virtual Folder on that computer to
the MPP Files folder, and then simply call from HPV Web http://localhost/HPVWeb/Views.aspx?mppfile=http://www.MyServer.com/MyMPPFiles/sample.mpp
to load the file.
